Habitech, value-added distributor to residential and commercial CI has said it is proud to be adding the StormAudio brand of cinema processing and amplification to its range of luxury home cinema products.
Established in 2006, StormAudio has gained a reputation for strong performance at the high-end of cinema design. Having collaborated with Auro Technologies in the early development of immersive audio playback, Habitech says StormAudio’s design team has elevated the art of object-based audio processing to a new level, maximising the impact of today’s diverse immersive formats within luxury cinema environments.
Praised for its flexibility and precision, StormAudio’s proprietary circuit topology runs on multiple DSP chips dedicated to key stages in the processing path. The audiophile design delivers strong immersive sound quality, coupled with powerful post-processing – including Dirac Live – for optimal in-room performance.
Launching the ‘ISP MK 1’ 16-channel modular processor in 2017, StormAudio embarked on OEM partnerships with other leading audiophile cinema brands before releasing the reference ‘ISP MK 2’, 24-channel modular processor in 2020, followed by the compact ‘ISP Core 16’ processor in 2021.
Supported by the brand’s PA 16 MK2 and PA 8 Ultra MK2 200W/16/8 channel amplifiers, StormAudio’s processors are known for their upgradability through state-of-the-art hardware modularity and easy software updates. The range is also known for its intuitive setup, powerful and flexible calibration options (including support for Dirac Live up to 32 channels, Dirac Live’s Bass Control and SA’s flexible EQ and bass management capabilities) and comprehensive control options available through iOS and Android apps, TCP/IP based control API and control system integration.
StormAudio’s products are represented in over thirty countries worldwide, supported by service centres in France, the United States and Hong Kong.
Commenting on the new partnership Habitech MD Jonathan Pengilley, says, “We’re absolutely delighted to be completing our line-up of high-end cinema design and demonstration services with StormAudio.
