Jordan O'BrienCasaTunes, the streaming multi-room music solution distributed by Aldous Systems, now supports Deezer – the French-based music streaming service.
Deezer arrived on the scene at around the same time as Spotify, the dominant music streaming service, and has since grown to a user base of over 16 million people monthly. That far exceeds some of its competitors, such as Tidal which stands at 3 million total subscribers.
It’s not just user numbers that Deezer can boast however, with the service also enjoying the largest catalogue size – with over 40 million songs, in comparison to Apple Music and Spotify’s 30 million.
CasaTunes already supports a whole host of streaming services, which includes local or networked disc music collections, Internet Radio, Spotify and streaming music from iOS devices.
“I love that I can listen to my Deezer Flow uninterrupted at home in whatever room I am in. CasaTunes combined with our world’s largest music catalogue is reason enough to stay indoors all day long. And, of course, the right company doesn’t hurt either,” says Alexander Holland, chief content and product officer, Deezer.
“Deezer is one of the top streaming services in the world, so naturally customers and dealers have been asking us to add Deezer to our service,” adds Steve Guerra, VP sales with CasaTunes.
“By integrating support for the Deezer music service into CasaTunes, subscribers can now enjoy unlimited music throughout their homes.”
With CasaTunes multi-mode music servers, homeowners can listen to a music collection stored on networked Macs and PCs, as well as listen to various popular Internet radio and music services, including Hi-Fi quality music services.
Listening to music can be done by just choosing the room and then browsing or searching songs by album, artist, genre, or playlist. When setup in System or System Controller Modes schedules can even be created for falling asleep or waking up to a favourite playlist.
CasaTunes Music Servers now automatically include support for Deezer with prices starting at €595.
Customers in the UK will be able to get CasaTunes via Aldous Systems, while Benelux customers will need to contact Sounds Better BVBA. BAPN Norway AS, Imago Sonas AS and COMM-TEC Italia distribute CasaTunes in Norway, Denmark and Italy respectively.
