BeaKarma-AV is delighted to introduce the SVS Prime Wireless Pro system to the UK’s network connected music lovers. Already recognised by EISA, CES and What Hi-Fi (CEDIA) innovation awards, the next-gen Prime Wireless Pro system comprises a two-channel powered speaker array integrating a 200W (4 x 50W) amplifier, 192KHz/24-bit DAC, and precisely tuned digital crossover for best-in-class dynamics, bass and clarity, according to the maker. The system will stream hi-res audio wirelessly via Wi-Fi, Airplay 2, and Google Cast. Bluetooth enabled, it also features HDMI, line level, optical, and ethernet inputs, and a subwoofer output. Easy control is achieved via smartphone or desktop app, IR remote, voice commands, and data rich front panel interface.
Active innovation
The Prime Wireless Pro powered/passive speaker pair employs a 200W Class-D amplifier to deliver 50W of discrete bi-amplification to a high-output 5.25in mid-bass driver and acoustically optimised 1in aluminium dome tweeter housed within each compact cabinet. Power delivery and frequency response to each driver is optimised through a 24-bit/192kHz DAC and active digital crossover, tuned by SVS engineers to achieve high sound quality.
Available processing capacity allows SVS Prime Wireless Pro powered speakers to render ‘the highest resolution playback from all streaming services including Amazon Music, Qobuz, iHeart, Pandora, YouTube, Sirius XM, Tidal, Pandora and Audible’ through the DTS Play-Fi app. Further wireless streaming options include Bluetooth and native control via Apple Airplay 2, Chromecast and Spotify Connect.
Smartphone, tablet, or PC control is via the DTS Play-Fi app, which also allows access to streaming services, radio guides or a home media server from a smartphone or tablet, as well as the ability to distribute it to as many as 32 different Play-Fi products in 16 zones.
Connectivity options include inputs for HDMI (with ARC/eARC), optical, analogue line level inputs, ethernet, and a subwoofer output. Control is also possible from the intuitive front panel display, or an IR remote. If hands-free is the preference, the speaker system responds to Alexa and Hey Google voice commands via supported devices.
Aesthetically, the SVS Prime Wireless Pro powered speakers combine the appeal of a traditional Hi-Fi stereo system with the utility of a front panel OLED interface displaying source, artist name, song title, input and volume settings for an intuitive user experience.
Also on the front panel are six backlit pre-set buttons that provide access to sources, favourite playlists and streaming services. Furthermore, front panel controls allow users to toggle between sources and adjust display brightness as well as pause playback and set volume. The IR remote handset controls all the most critical functions and provides direct input buttons for HDMI, Bluetooth, Optical and Line-In for easy switching between sources.
