Sonos isn’t the only firm launching limited edition speakers in time for Christmas, with Bang & Olufsen announcing a new Bronze Collection, which features some of the company’s most popular multi-room speakers.
The Bronze Collection is designed to enhance Bang & Olufsen’s high-end multi-room speakers through the use of an even more premium design. Given the resurgence of bronze in the interior design market, it’s no wonder that the firm chose a bronze hue for its latest limited edition collection.
Five multi-room speakers make up the Bronze Collection, including the Beoplay A9, Beoplay M5, BeoSound 1, BeoSound 2 and BeoSound Edge. As the name would suggest, the speakers have been wrapped in a bronze finish, which gives it a warm, homely look. It’s not just the metal encasing, however, as even the speaker grille has been given a warmer tone to match the surroundings.
Despite the bronze finish, there’s no premium price to pay for the Bronze Collection over the standard finishes. That’s why the Beoplay M5 will still cost £529, the Beosound 1 is £1,250, £1,650 is what the Beosound 2 has been priced at, while the Beoplay A9 and Beosound Edge will retail for £2,099 and £2,900, respectively.
Most of the Bronze Collection is available now from Bang & Olufsen stores, online and select third-party retailers, although the BeoSound Edge will not be available to purchase until December 2018.
