Jordan O'BrienATEN is prepping an announcement of the VM1600 matrix switcher at the Midwich Technology Exposed show on 17 September, the first time the company will show off its latest matrix switcher.
ATEN claims that the VM1600 is the only 16×16 modular digital matrix seamless switch available that can monitor or broadcast time-critical activity.

Key features of the VM1600 include live streaming, stable signal transmission, 16×16 capacity, VGA, DVI, HDMI and HDBaseT compatibility, instant remote video wall management and instant remote management of mixed display formats and systems.
The VM1600 was designed with specific industries in mind, although ATEN does admit that it’s tried to make it as versatile as possible.
ATEN believes that customers needing a matrix switcher for live event broadcasting, security and emergency service surveillance or transport management are the most likely to benefit from the VM1600.
