Fidelity Imports, an established North American distributor of premium audio products, has announced its expansion into the United Kingdom and the appointment of Jamie McKay as Managing Director of Fidelity Imports UK.

The announcement marks an important step in the continued development of Fidelity Imports, which has established operations in the United States and Canada.

Fidelity Imports UK will become operational on 1 October 2026, bringing the company’s approach to brand development and specialist distribution to one of the world’s most established audio markets.

“The UK has a highly knowledgeable specialist retail community and a long-standing enthusiasm for premium audio, making it an important market for Fidelity Imports,” says Steve Jain, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Fidelity Imports. “We see a significant opportunity to build a dedicated UK business that combines the experience and infrastructure we have developed in North America with strong local leadership and detailed knowledge of the market.”

Matt Hegt, CTO and Co-Founder of Fidelity Imports, adds, “Adding a UK division is about much more than expanding our geographic footprint. It gives Fidelity Imports a strategic logistics and operational base in one of the world’s most important markets for specialty audio, allowing us to shorten supply chains, improve inventory efficiency and support our partners more effectively. As the business scales, having infrastructure on both sides of the Atlantic gives us the flexibility and reach to grow intelligently while delivering a consistently high level of service to our brands and dealers.”

Jamie will lead the development of Fidelity Imports UK, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in the premium consumer-electronics and audio sectors. His background includes senior commercial leadership, manufacturer and brand development and extensive collaboration with the UK’s specialist retail channel.

“Establishing the right local leadership was essential,” Steve continues. “Jamie understands the UK market, the needs of manufacturers and the importance of building strong, sustainable relationships with specialist retailers. Most importantly, he shares our commitment to developing brands carefully and creating long-term value for every partner we represent. We are delighted to have him leading this next chapter for Fidelity Imports.”

Fidelity Imports UK has been established to provide manufacturers with a dedicated local partner capable of supporting every stage of brand development in the market. Its capabilities will include UK brand management, selective distribution, marketing, dealer education, technical support, fulfilment and after-sales coordination.

The business will work closely with a carefully selected network of specialist retailers, with an emphasis on building sustainable partnerships and ensuring that each manufacturer receives the appropriate market positioning, commercial focus and long-term support.

“Manufacturers increasingly want a genuine local brand partner, while specialist retailers expect meaningful support beyond product availability and order processing,” adds Jamie McKay, Managing Director of Fidelity Imports UK.

“Our aim is to combine Fidelity Imports’ established North American infrastructure and manufacturer relationships with dedicated UK market expertise. That means working closely with our brands and retail partners, investing in education and marketing, and developing each opportunity in a considered and sustainable way.

“The UK specialist audio market is built on knowledge, trust and strong relationships. We want Fidelity Imports UK to contribute positively to that community and become a valued long-term partner for manufacturers and retailers alike.”

The United Kingdom represents an important market in its own right and will be the immediate focus of the new operation. Over time, the UK business may also provide a platform from which Fidelity Imports can evaluate further international opportunities, but its initial priority will be establishing a strong, well-supported and sustainable presence within the UK market.

Further details of its initial manufacturer portfolio, specialist retail partnerships and market-launch programme will be announced separately.
