While the US may be celebrating Independence Day on July 4, back here in the UK, we’ll be treated to the latest Meridian Live event. Having been heralded a huge success when Meridian Live debuted earlier this year, the event is back with new product demonstrations and active workshops for those working in the custom install industry.
Meridian Live takes place at the company’s headquarters in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, and features not just its own products but also those of its partners. That means it’s the ideal location to check out the very latest projectors from Barco, projector screens from Display Technologies, and acoustic treatment from Cinema-ATS.
Of course, many people will be visiting Meridian Live to get hands-on with Meridian’s audio line-up, which has grown from strength to strength in recent years. Earlier this month, Meridian introduced a new in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeaker and Meridian Live will be the first opportunity for many to experience it. Alongside the new integrated speaker, Meridian Live will also see the first ever UK demo of Barco Residential’s new 5K Bragi Cinemascope LED projector.
Meridian’s Education Manager, Hugo Fitzjohn, commented, “Meridian Live is an exciting event for us, it’s a great way to demonstrate why we are the pioneers of Hi-Res audio and the real authenticity behind the brand. Furthermore, we have some exciting new products that we look forward to demonstrating live, such as the DSP Architectural range, and great innovations from our Distributed by Meridian partners. It’s an amazing opportunity for Meridian to really connect with our dealers, showing only the very best audio and video products, whilst proving that our speakers really can make all the difference.”
What Will Be On Show?
In addition to showing off its new in-wall speaker and the Barco Residential Bragi Cinemascope projector, Meridian plans to show off some of the company’s other unique offerings. That includes:
- Meridian’s Design and Specification Service (D&SS) will take centre stage, with experts available to answer questions surrounding the unique offering. D&SS leverages The CEDIA Designer to make it easier than ever to build out a home cinema using Meridian Speakers, while it can also place products from the company’s partners, Barco Residential, Display Technologies and Cinema-ATS.
- Display Technologies will be demonstrating its Acoustically Transparent Wow (ATWow) screens. ATWow is a dual layer image surface made up of a single white front, surface-mounted over black backing. This maximises black level detail, while maintaining crisp white and consistent colour accuracy across the entire spectrum.
- Land Rover will show off the Range Rover Velar’s design, which includes cutting-edge surround sound technology provided by Meridian Audio.
Meridian Live is open to the company’s existing dealers, staff and members of the press, and will be held on July 4 at Meridian Audio HQ in Huntingdon. Those who miss out on this event will get another opportunity to attend on November 6. You’ll need to register to attend, which can be done on the company’s website.
