The VM1600 enables you to simultaneously control up to 16 video sources and 16 displays through interchangeable DVI (digital visual interface) and HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) boards, a push button panel, online user interface or an IR remote control.

The VM1600 is designed to take plug-in off-the-shelf components, so that replacing a cooling fan, power supply or I/O board is quick, easy and cost-effective.
Five secrets of seamless switching
There are five functions on the VM1600 that enable seamless switching:
1) Independent EDID (extended display identification data) handshaking
2) Independent HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection) 1.4
3) Maintaining continuous AV signal to scale video content from its source to fit the video format of the display
4) An internal pixel clock generator for the display
5) An internal frame buffer to prevent garbage content.
