Falcon Acoustics Gives Wings To R.A.M Studio Range

Karma-AV is celebrating a new partnership with the launch of Falcon Acoustics’ R.A.M. Studio series speakers, designed to offer high-quality at affordable price levels.

Well established and respected in the UK speaker sector, Karma says it is delighted to be working with Falcon Acoustics offering audio purists a mix of modern speaker designs, hand-building the world-famous LS3/5a monitor exclusively to the original BBC spec alongside the new Reference Audio Monitor (R.A.M.) range.

There are three models in the new range, all of which have 25mm MDF cabinets in European Walnut, High Gloss Black or Burr Walnut real wood veneers complete with man-made leather baffles and feature interchangeable side panels to match new surroundings.

Falcon also includes its own heavy-duty rear terminals, mounted on 2mm stainless steel plates. For the floor-standing Studio 30, a heavy plinth is provided complete with CNC precision-engineered stainless-steel spikes.

The Studio 10, the smallest in the range, is a two-way ported stand-mount speaker utilising a 150mm (5in) Polypropylene cone woofer and custom 25mm (1in) soft dome tweeter.

The system is designed to deliver a smooth response with lots of detail, precise imaging and an extended sound stage in an attractive stand-mount format.

The Studio 20 is a larger stand mount two-way ported speaker utilising a 170 mm (6in) Polypropylene cone bass unit especially selected for extended bass and accuracy, and a custom 25 mm (1in) soft dome tweeter.

The system is designed to provide good bass extension, exceptional imaging and a wide sound stage.

Lastly, the Studio 30 is a three-way floor-stander, offering high sound quality via twin 170 mm (6in) Polypropylene cone woofers especially made for Falcon which merge with a proprietary Falcon 50 mm (2in) dome midrange driver, which in turn hands over to a custom 25 mm (1in) soft dome tweeter.

This configuration is designed to deliver exceptional midrange detail and an even tonality throughout.
