Vestel Visual Solutions arrived at ISE 2024 with advancements in eco-display and interactive display screen technologies. The international AV trade show, held in Barcelona from 30 January to 2 February this year, marked a significant milestone for Vestel as it showcased its latest product innovations across display, signage and interactive education.

At the heart of Vestel’s ISE exhibit was the unveiling of its Eco Display category. The new technology, launching in the UK market in 2024, will feature several UHD displays, reducing the power of a typical 500-nit commercial display by 80%.

Vestel Visual Solutions UK Senior Product Manager Tim Matthews comments, “Vestel’s Eco-Efficient display line-up for 2024 is set to revolutionise the commercial display and signage industry with massive power consumption savings. By reducing power consumption by 80 to 100W, depending on screen size over a typical 500-nit display, each screen can save up to £400 annually (24/7 @ £0.46/kwh). That is a substantial saving for venues with multiple displays and can make a significant contribution towards customers achieving their sustainability, carbon, and energy consumption targets.”

Vestel unveiled a series of new interactive screens for the UK market at ISE. Featuring a Google EDLA-approved Android 13 SoC core, the new model will offer zero-bonded screen construction. This display technology, according to Vestel, dramatically improves touch-screen accuracy whilst simultaneously reducing power consumption and improving both visual quality and durability. Vestel’s economies of manufacturing scale at its 1.3m sqm European manufacturing facility brings this technology to value-priced interactive displays for the first time, backed by the brand’s enviable reputation for reliability and longevity, says the company.

“In our zero-bonded displays, the layers of the screen, including the LCD panel, touch-sensitive layer, and protective glass, are bonded together without any air gaps,” adds Tim. “The elimination of the air gap significantly improves touch sensitivity and accuracy by minimising parallax errors, seals out potential contaminates such as dust and leads to a slimmer, sleeker overall design. We have worked very hard on our 2024 IFPD range to ensure the class-leading benefits of zero-bonded interactive technology are now affordable for all parts of the UK education sector.”

The ISE 2024 exhibition provided a platform for Vestel to showcase collaborations with Embed, Octopus, Telelogos and PLAYipp. In addition, the brand showcased its large screen displays up to 98in landscape and portrait, a Dolby Atmos cinema set-up with a large-screen UHD LED video wall and interactive retail display solutions featuring partner Octopus’ augmented reality real-time product information. New low-haze screens will add to the breadth of Vestel Visual Solutions UK’s display portfolio in 2024, alongside new hospitality displays and hotel TV-specific models.
