The Ultion smart lock now has improved custom install capabilities with Control4 compatibility.
The British home security specialist has launched a dedicated Control4 driver for its Ultion Nuki smart lock, allowing integration of door access within whole-home automation systems.
The development makes it the first door-locking solution for Control4 installs that is specifically designed for UK doors, offering installers a new security option for whole-house projects, from a trusted British lock expert.
A design optimised specifically for British doors, Ultion Nuki combines superb integration and accessibility options with fully accredited security, says the maker.
Control4 support adds to an array of ways for homeowners to lock and unlock doors fitted with Ultion Nuki – including Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Ring, IFTTT, and integration with the Airbnb app. It also works with a traditional key.
The development of the new driver, a result of significant investment by the British brand, allows installers to operate connected the company’s locks from Control4’s wide range of touchscreens, remote controls, and apps, for easy integration.
Installers also have the freedom to integrate door security in the most suitable way for each project and customise the end user experience to suit.
The driver works with all current and forthcoming Nuki iterations and accessories, including the Nuki Keypad, wirelessly connecting to a Control4 processor over a network connection, so no special cabling is required.
Additionally, the forthcoming Ultion Nuki Plus will allow for Control 4 installs without the need for a bridge. Custom install specialists can download the new driver from DriverCentral priced at USD $15.
For further flexibility, Ultion Nuki (along with all Ultion locks) can also be used with the Ultion KeyTag; an official Made for iPhone door key that can be located using Apple’s Find My network
