Ian will present an update on Together For Cinema’s charitable achievements and outline how GivingBack.tech will work when it launches in spring 2026. The platform will link donors such as manufacturers, distributors, integrators, corporates and universities with registered charities and Community Interest Companies looking for second-hand, discontinued or B-stock AV equipment.

“This is an exciting and long overdue medium that will make it much easier for our industry to give something back,” says Ian. “We are eager to share how the idea came about and our plans for the future.”

Two presentation slots are scheduled in the show’s Technical Theatre: 10.30am on Wednesday and 3pm on Thursday. Visitors can also find Together For Cinema at Stand 80 on the EI Live! show floor.

EI Live! is the UK’s only dedicated smart home and home cinema exhibition, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, integrators and industry professionals under one roof. The show highlights the latest in home automation, AV distribution, lighting control and cinema technologies, providing an essential platform for networking, learning and discovering new solutions. For many, it has become a key date in the calendar to see first-hand the innovations shaping the residential technology market.

Together For Cinema has long championed the positive difference the AV industry can make in communities, and GivingBack.tech aims to extend that impact by creating a simple, structured way for equipment donations to reach those who need them most.
