Daniel J SaitIndustry association CEDIA recently sent an announcement to current users of The CEDIA Designer letting them know that, effective March 15, Guy Singleton will be resuming ownership of the software. Its name will also revert to The Cinema Designer.
Both parties have assured users that very little will change in terms of practicalities and CEDIA member discounts and free access will continue, and user credentials will remain the same.

We want to share some important news about changes to The CEDIA Designer. CEDIA and Guy Singleton have made the decision to transfer ownership of the program to Guy Singleton –The Cinema Designer. We intend to do this effective March 15, 2022, with minimal disruption to you, the users of the tool.
With new leadership at CEDIA and a redoubled emphasis on essential association services to the industry, CEDIA is focusing on its core mission. The CEDIA Designer is valued by hundreds of system designers around the world, and we believe the best person to ensure its continued effectiveness and future development is the person who created it. Thus, we know The CEDIA Designer – and you – will be in good hands for continued use of the tool, now called ‘The Cinema Designer’.
Discounted membership will continue to be offered to CEDIA members, and all pre-paid subscriptions fees will be honoured or refunded. In the coming weeks CEDIA will be in communication with you to update you on the transfer and make it as seamless as possible.
