Celebrating a century of British audio innovation, Tannoy has announced a series of exclusive limited-edition loudspeakers and the return of some of its most iconic models as part of a major centenary celebration programme.
The announcement was made ahead of the prestigious HIGH END 2026 exhibition in Vienna, where the company will share details of the new launches with both industry professionals and the public. The initiative forms the centrepiece of a three-year centenary celebration and signals the start of a new chapter for the legendary British loudspeaker manufacturer.
At the heart of the announcement are specially created anniversary editions based on the acclaimed Prestige Gold Reference Series. According to Tannoy, its engineering team has further enhanced the performance of the already highly regarded range with a series of technical refinements designed to deliver an even more engaging listening experience.
The limited-edition models will feature upgraded internal components and enhanced cabling improvements, with production numbers carefully chosen to honour the company’s founding year of 1926.
Just 19 pairs of the flagship Westminster Royal GR will be produced, alongside only 26 pairs of the Canterbury GR. Together, the production totals form the number 1926, creating what the company describes as a tribute to a century of British audio engineering excellence.
Designed as heirloom-quality products for collectors and enthusiasts alike, the loudspeakers are expected to become some of the most exclusive products ever created within the Prestige range.
Tannoy says the first of the ultra-exclusive anniversary models will officially launch in the coming months, with additional announcements and further product reveals scheduled throughout the centenary celebrations.

The company has also confirmed that more iconic models from its extensive back catalogue are expected to return over the course of the three-year programme, creating what it describes as one of the most ambitious and exciting product launch periods in its history.
Founded in 1926, Tannoy has long been regarded as one of Britain’s most recognisable audio brands, famed for its dual concentric driver technology and a heritage that spans professional audio, studio monitoring and premium hi-fi loudspeakers. The company’s Prestige Series in particular has become synonymous with classic British loudspeaker design, combining traditional cabinetry with modern acoustic engineering.
Further information and upcoming announcements will be shared via the company’s official website and social media channels in the lead-up to the new product launches.
