Prove your humanity

Crestron has unveiled the TST-602 Wireless Touch Screen which allows users to control their home, boardroom or classroom wirelessly using a 6in touchscreen monitor.

The 5.7in VGA display offers users the ability to control audio, video, lighting, shades, climate and security from an adaptable and easy to use user interface.

Crestron’s Smart Graphics technology means it’s easy for programmers to integrate gesture-driven controls, animated feedback, rich metadata, embedded apps and widgets and full-motion video.

Users need not rely solely on the touchscreen however, with the illuminated tactile buttons located around the display offering up to eight configurable options for easy access to the most used functions.

The company is offering those who want it custom engraving for their TST-602, which will allow user to label the tactile buttons to fit their needs.

Along with the eight illuminated buttons, there are two additional trigger buttons located on the top of the TST-602, which enable users to control the display brightness, sleep mode and other programmable functions.

While that’s pretty standard stuff on wireless touch screen controls these days, Crestron is hoping to diversify itself from the competition by offering voice recognition.

Not only does the TST-602 enable users to tap and swipe their way through functions, but customers will also be able to use spoken commands to control virtually anything.

Whether it’s turning off the TV, or locking the door, voice control can do just about anything you’d be able to do with the touchscreen.

That’s not the only thing that makes the TST-602 unique. In fact, thanks to Crestron’s very own Extended Range RF technology, the TST-602 can be used without the need for a WiFi network.

Should there be a desire to use the TST-602 with WiFi however, that will also be available as an option.

While the focus of the TST-602 is very much on control, Crestron also allows users to browse the web using the in-built web browser, and stream video from security cameras and other video sources.

The TST-602 is available now in both black and white.
