Jordan O'BrienAlltrade has announced that a distribution deal with HDL has been signed, with the company now exclusively handling HDL’s portfolio of smart home products in the UK.
As part of the agreement, HDL will gain access to Alltrade’s network of trade counters, nationwide delivery service, training days and customer support.
HDL’s Smart Home products encompass advanced lighting control with programmable LCD wall plates, heating stats and automated blinds, multiroom audio, access control and a wide range of sensors.
Based on HDL’s Buspro, the system can be simply managed and controlled by smart phone and tablet using Demopad, also distributed by Alltrade.
Alltrade MD, Steve Simper, comments: “This exciting development gives Alltrade customers a range of products that offer a complete smart home solution without the need for multiple brands and the associated compatibility issues.
“Using the open architecture Buspro protocol and easy to program software App from Demopad with cloud server technology, the HDL product line up is truly cutting edge yet very easy to plan and install.”
At Essential Install Live! South, HDL displayed a range of Buspro modules, environmental sensors and its LCD wall plates.
Designed to fit in a typical single gang lighting patress, the wall controllers range from single button models to 10-button designs with multiple LCD screen ‘pages’ that can be individually programmed to the end-user’s system and requirements.
HDL’s commercial director, Lee Brynes, adds: “We are very pleased about our new partnership with Alltrade, who are already leaders in their field.

Open days and training sessions at all of Alltrade five trade counters will be announced shortly with product support and stock availability from the 1st of July.
