ADT is making big plans for home automation with the company partnering with LG and Nest.
In its partnership with LG, ADT is hoping to build a so-called all-in-one ‘Smart Security’ device that’ll offer video monitoring, as well as a smart home hub for connecting other sensors and gadgets with.
The hub itself, as well as the security footage, will all be controlled from a dedicated App available on the user’s smartphone, although both the App and device will not be launching until later this year.
ADT has also announced a partnership with Nest, with its Pulse platform now adding the smart thermostat to the list of supported tech.
Pulse already supports IF (IFTTT), Ford Sync and Life360, amongst others, but now users will be able to control their home automation system through Google’s thermostat.
A new version of Pulse is set to arrive this summer, bringing new features such as voice authentication.
