Sustainability in AV (SAVe), the first U.S.-based organisation to bring stakeholders in the AV field to take concerted action to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has announced Sony Electronics as an Impact Sponsor for SAVe 2024.
“One of Sony’s key initiatives is our Road to Zero global environmental plan and sustainability remains a critical consideration in every aspect of our product lifecycle,” says Rich Ventura, Vice President of Professional Displays Solutions at Sony Electronics.
“Working with impactful organisations such as SAVe and their global conference, which focuses specifically on the AV space, aligns with our focus on education, furthers our comprehensive stewardship strategy, and reinforces our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.”
“Everyone knows that Sony is in the vanguard of AV technology. Sponsoring SAVe 2024 reinforces the fact that Sony also leads the way on sustainability,” says Christina De Bono, President and Founder of SAVe.
“We’re grateful for the company’s support of our inaugural global conference, and we look forward to making real progress toward a future that’s sustainable for all.”
SAVe 2024 will provide educational forums, workshops and planning sessions over the course of a day and a half. Stakeholders from across the globe will gather at UCLA’s Luskin Conference Center to meet, learn and share ideas on how to make substantial progress in areas related to responsible waste management, lifecycle carbon-emission reduction and reduced energy usage.
As an independent, all-volunteer non-profit organisation, SAVe relies on sponsor support to enable outreach and advocacy. Success in achieving the 2030 SDGs will require participation in many ways from numerous stakeholders, and sponsorships are an essential catalyst to further efforts.
Registration for SAVe 2024 is $199 (free for event speakers, volunteers and members of the Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance [HETMA]).
