Daniel J SaitPenguin Media Group announces Samantha Viggers as Managing Director across its group companies, overseeing both Penguin Media Solutions and Penguin Media Hire, marking an exciting step forward in the group’s continued growth.
Founder Charlie Langridge takes on the role of Executive Director, continuing to work closely across all areas of the business with a focus on growth, partnerships and new project development. Co-founder Dylan Thompson continues in his role as Technical Project Manager, leading all technical delivery and development.
Samantha has been instrumental in the day-to-day running of the business, already overseeing operations, client delivery and team management across both companies. Her promotion formally recognises the leadership role she has grown into and the impact she has had across the group.
Charlie says, “Sam has been a huge part of how Penguin runs for a long time. This is about recognising that and giving her the platform to keep building on it. She’s brilliant with clients, the team trust her and she genuinely cares about the work we do.”
As Managing Director, Samantha takes on an enhanced leadership role across both Penguin Media Solutions and Penguin Media Hire, with a continued focus on operations, team development and maintaining the high standards the businesses are known for.
Samantha says, “I’m really excited to step into the Managing Director role. We’ve got a fantastic team and some great clients across both sides of the business and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow those relationships and build on everything we’ve achieved so far. AV, events and tech have traditionally been male-dominated spaces, but that’s exactly what makes this opportunity so meaningful to me. I’m proud to be part of a company that’s committed to challenging that balance, opening doors and creating a more inclusive environment for the next generation. It’s a brilliant time for the business and I can’t wait to see what we build together.”
Charlie remains actively involved across the business as Founder and Executive Director, working alongside Samantha and the team on key projects, strategic direction, partnerships and the development of new ideas and products. He continues to play a hands-on role in innovation, including programming and building new technical solutions that support the company’s evolving offer.
Dylan Thompson, Co-founder and Technical Project Manager, continues to lead all technical projects and sales development, ensuring Penguin Media maintains its strong reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality installations and event productions.
Charlie adds, “This is a really positive move for all involved. It gives us a clearer structure as we grow and lets everyone focus on what they do best. Sam leading the day-to-day puts us in a great position to keep pushing forward, while I can spend more time on growth, new ideas and building out some of the more interesting technical projects we’ve got in the pipeline.”
This strengthened leadership structure provides clarity across the group and supports its continued expansion, while maintaining the same hands-on approach and high standards that Penguin Media is known for across sales, design, installation and servicing for Solutions, as well as rental and technical production with Hire.
