T+A, a German manufacturer of high-quality audio systems, has announced that the newly developed Audiophile Streaming Architecture (ASA) G3, also introduced in this September’s lifecycle impulse of the R Series Multi Source Players, will now be implemented in the MP 3100 HV. With this step, the multi-source player of the HV Series is future-proofed and equipped with the latest streaming services.
“With our ASA G3, we have developed a core technology that we are now gradually implementing in new products. ASA G3, along with many other small improvements, prepares the MP 3100 HV G3 for a new phase in its product life cycle,” says T+A COO Conradin Amft during the introduction of the new HV Series multi-source player.
The technical highlight of the new HV Series multi-source player is the ASA G3, which provides users access to a wide range of high-quality and convenient Connect services, enabling direct music streaming from mobile devices to the T+A unit via Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, or Apple AirPlay 2. Additionally, ASA G3 integrates various high-res streaming services directly and allows native streaming of DSD files through the streaming client, without the typical conversion to PCM.
With the MP 3100 HV G3, T+A continues the naming convention established with the new R Series: All multi-source devices that utilise ASA G3 carry the G3 designation, making them easily recognisable as the latest devices in the HV Series: MP 3100 HV G3.
In addition to the streaming architecture, T+A’s engineers have significantly improved signal processing through the use of a new motherboard. The CD text-based signals from the SACD drive are now utilised to retrieve enhanced information based on CD text, such as cover art, in the MusicNavigator G3 app using the Gracenote music service.
The unique True1-Bit DSD and Quadruple PCM digital-to-analogue converters, for even better sound quality, and a radio tuner that delivers the best FM and DAB+ reception ever seen in a T+A device, are also included as standard.
While the new multi-source players will be available starting in November 2024, T+A will also offer an upgrade option for the predecessor, MP 3100 HV, starting in January 2025.
This upgrade includes new hardware components for the streaming architecture as well as device-specific control software, and will be performed at T+A’s own or dedicated partner facilities. Upgrade appointments can be booked through authorised dealers or local distributors.
The MP 3100 HV G3 is now available for pre-order in silver and titanium finishes at a suggested retail price of £15,650.00 through authorised dealers. Customers are asked to contact their local dealer / distribution for more details on the upgrade.
