RGB Communications announces a new strategic partnership with FlatPanel Audio, a company redefining loudspeaker performance and design flexibility. Under the agreement, RGB will distribute FlatPanel Audio’s advanced loudspeakers across the UK and Ireland, offering home cinema and commercial AV integrators access to next-generation audio solutions.
FlatPanel Audio is led by a team of industry veterans responsible for audio innovations such as Auto-Tune, Mackie Mixers and the first Distributed Mode Loudspeakers (DML). The company aims to empower AV professionals, architects and acousticians with solutions that no conventional loudspeakers at any price can deliver, says the company.
“We are excited to add FlatPanel Audio to our portfolio, their technology provides our integrators with a truly versatile solution, speakers that deliver exceptional sound performance and can be installed in ways that respect both the acoustic and aesthetic demands of any project. This partnership ensures our customers have access to unique sound wave technology that solves room sound problems old school loudspeakers make worse,” says Andy Atwell, Managing Director of RGB Communications.
Andy adds, “We at RGB are proud to donate 1% of all sales (net of VAT) to UK military charities, in recognition of their role in the development of this technology.”
FlatPanel Audio’s patented designs nearly double the coverage of conventional loudspeakers, delivering zero distortion and perfect stereo in every seat, says the company. Their diffuse sound waves prevent room echoes, comb filtering and collapsed stereo, yielding crystal-clear, immersive audio even in highly reverberant spaces. For home cinema and architectural installations, this means integrators can achieve professional-grade sound without compromising on interior design say the partners.
“DML technology offers integrators and acoustic designers exceptional placement flexibility,” says veteran system integrator and FlatPanel Audio COO Bryan Cole. “Especially in reverberant spaces, our DML500 waves don’t comb filter or bounce off reflective surfaces. Already diffuse waves are actually helped by reflective surfaces, so instead of doubling the distance and losing 6 dB, you only lose 4 dB.”
CEO Denny Mayer concludes, “DML technology was born in the UK and we’re delighted to support RGB in bringing such a disruptive replacement technology back home.”
The partnership positions RGB Communications as a leading UK distributor for integrators seeking innovative, reliable and design-led AV solutions. For installers, architects and AV consultants, the collaboration means easier access to advanced loudspeaker technology that can transform residential and commercial spaces with immersive, high-fidelity sound with FlatPanel Audio’s unique take on audio delivery.
