Pro-Ject Audio Systems is marking the 75th anniversary of Peanuts – the beloved cartoon world, where adults exist but are rarely seen or heard – created by Charles M. Schulz.
This limited-edition model is based on Pro-Ject’s award-winning T1 BT turntable platform, featuring Peanuts-themed artwork featuring music-inspired moments from the comic strip. It comes pre-fitted with an Ortofon OM 10 cartridge and includes both a built-in phono stage and a Bluetooth transmitter for wireless playback.
Users can stream their vinyl records to Bluetooth speakers or headphones, or connect the turntable to a traditional hi-fi system.
Handmade in Europe, the turntable features a heavy glass platter, a precision CNC-machined chassis and its maker’s signature one-piece aluminium tonearm.
Sitting on top of the platter is a unique Charlie Brown acrylic record plate — a line drawing in Schulz’s style that captures the comic strip’s protagonist in classic pose. Whether used with wired speakers or paired via Bluetooth, this audiophile-grade record player is as eye-catching as it is musical.
“As big fans of Peanuts at Pro-Ject Audio Systems, we wanted to celebrate this anniversary with a very special turntable,” says Heinz Lichtenegger, CEO and founder of Pro-Ject Audio Systems. “With cutting-edge technologies and machines, we can create visually pleasing products without losing the eye for the finest details. We teamed up and designed the turntable artwork with music-related comic snippets and a special Charlie Brown acrylic record plate. We aim to get as many people as possible into the wonderful hobby that is hi-fi audio, and our limited-edition products give our customers even more choices.”
The Pro-Ject Peanuts Turntable will be available from authorised Pro-Ject retailers in June and is priced at £579.00 / €599.00.
