Krix has launched three new modular front-wall systems for dedicated home cinemas: The MX-30i, MX-40i and the upgraded MX-20 Mk2, promising deep low-frequency performance, improved clarity and installation flexibility for medium to large rooms.
While the left, centre and right speaker modules remain unchanged in both the MX-30i and MX40i, Krix has expanded on its engineering with new subwoofer designed for true infrasonic reproduction, extending performance beyond the audible range.
The system features a new high-performance 18in low-frequency driver engineered to deliver tactile realism. Its reversible design incorporates dual terminals, allowing the subwoofer cabinet to be installed in either an upward or downward orientation to maximise installation flexibility. The module also maintains the original system’s uniform height and slimline depth, enabling customers to upgrade seamlessly to the new subwoofer units.
The MX-20 Mk2 delivers a significant performance lift over the original, featuring upgrades to both the left, centre, right and subwoofer modules.
The left, centre and right speaker modules have been upgraded with a new 12in low-frequency driver, replacing the previous 10in version and incorporating a larger 2.5in voice coil, up from 2in, to provide greater power handling and reduced distortion.
A Krix-patented constant-directivity horn paired with a one-inch compression driver now replaces the earlier doped fabric dome tweeter and waveguide, delivering controlled dispersion, precise high-frequency detail and improved dynamics.
Meanwhile, power handling for the left, centre and right modules has also been increased, with the recommended amplifier power rising from 500 watts to 700 watts RMS. In addition, the subwoofer now features a reversible design with a dual-terminal configuration, allowing the cabinet to be oriented either upward or downward to suit the installation.
All new models are available to order through authorised Krix dealers worldwide, with delivery in Australia from mid-December and internationally by March 2026. Contact your local dealer for regional pricing.
