HiFi Rose has introduced a major update to its control ecosystem with the launch of the new Rose One app, designed to deliver a more consistent and enhanced user experience across Android, iOS and desktop platforms.
The brand, which has built a strong reputation for its distinctive on-device user interface, has long recognised the importance of “in-chair” control via external devices. With Rose One, HiFi Rose aims to elevate that experience by replacing its previous platform-specific apps with a single, unified solution built on a shared architecture.
The new app has been developed using a hybrid core system, enabling a single codebase to power all supported platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows and macOS. This approach addresses previous limitations around feature imbalance, staggered updates and version inconsistencies, allowing simultaneous rollouts and unified version management across devices.
According to HiFi Rose, the updated platform introduces more than 50 UX and feature improvements, with a focus on simplifying navigation, enhancing playback control and expanding content discovery. A redesigned interface consolidates menus and introduces a unified library structure, bringing favourites, playlists and feeds together in a single location for easier access and management.
Playback functionality has also been refined, with support for lock screen controls, background operation and automatic device reconnection via IP-based discovery. Enhancements to the playback interface include improved visual feedback, larger control areas and an immersive player design centred around album artwork.
Content integration has been expanded, with support for additional streaming features such as TIDAL video content, enhanced Qobuz curation and broader integration of RoseTube. The platform also introduces taste-based recommendations, designed to surface new music and related content based on user preferences.
Further updates include improved playlist and queue management, multi-track editing within the library, and enhanced social and profile features. A dedicated classical music browsing experience has also been added, supporting services including TIDAL, Qobuz and Apple Music.
With the launch of Rose One, HiFi Rose is positioning its app ecosystem as a central part of the user experience, aiming to combine visual richness, seamless control and expanded content access within a single, unified platform.
