A new preamplifier named the Momentum C2 joins Dan D’Agostino Master Audio System’s epochal amplifier range.
The DDMAS range consists of three main series: Progression at the ‘entry level’, Relentless at the top end, and between them Momentum – the company’s longest-running series.
The latest model to grace the range is the Momentum C2 Preamplifier, replacing the Momentum HD Preamplifier.
Sporting technical features and sonic attributes inspired by the flagship Relentless Preamplifier, the Momentum C2 is a dual-chassis design – the main enclosure incorporates the audio electronics while the lower chassis houses the power supply, isolating the former from the latter.
D’Agostino’s distinctive analogue metre is complemented by a new digital display on the power supply unit, especially useful if the optional digital streaming module is present. A new remote-control device incorporates a digital representation of the amp’s signature analogue display.
The Dan D’Agostino Momentum C2 Preamplifier begins shipping in August, available in a choice of black or silver at a UK RRP of £59,998 inc. VAT. The optional digital streaming module adds £11,398.
Absolute Sounds is the sole UK distributor of products from Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems.
Dan D’Agostino spent 29 years as the CEO of Krell after forming the company in 1980, subsequently founding Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems (DDMAS) in 2011.
His current designs are instantly recognisable visually as well as sonically, with their use of copper for the heatsinks (copper’s thermal conductivity is 91% greater than aluminium) and analogue metres inspired by Swiss watch faces.
Every Dan D’Agostino amplifier is made in the DDMAS facility in Cave Creek, Arizona, USA.
