Prove your humanity

With strong rumours of this project first circulating at the Invision Technology Showcase in the Spring, the distributor has revealed the first details about its reference cinema due to open this Summer.

The cinema is located in Segro Park in Bracknell, Berkshire and is due to open in July.

Invision says the cinema is equipped with the very latest in sound and vision innovation and the company is confident that its customers will be thrilled by the totally immersive AV experience.

The cinema will be one of the first in the world to feature DTS: X Pro which is designed to build on the 3D audio abilities of the DTS:X audio technology by increasing the number of available channels from 11 to as many as 32.

Invision argues this ensures that installers will have far more freedom to create the most engrossing home cinema experience available for their customers.

The Invision Reference Home Cinema will also feature Trinnov’s Audio’s Altitude32 surround sound processor, the first surround processor for the domestic market to support up to 32 uniquely rendered DTS:X Pro audio channels.

26 Procella speakers in 11.4.8 configuration will deliver the audio and the visuals will be supplied by a JVC DLA-N9X projector with a Screen Innovation Zero Edge screen. Cinema Module’s seats complete the main inventory.

The acoustic design of the room was mapped by Audio Data Labs in Sweden – the team that created the ‘World’s best demo room’ at the CEDIA HQ in the USA.

Mark Taylor, Invision’s commercial director, says, “We are truly delighted to be opening the Invision Reference Home Cinema. Our state-of-the-art space is perfect for demonstrating the latest home cinema possibilities to our customers. We are sure they will love it.”

Invision says it will announce the dates of the first of their special demonstration days soon, eyes on the sky for that one.
