Daniel J SaitSituations vacant at Meridian! This role will be to provide technical support and consultation to the Company’s dealers and distributors around the world, for Meridian Audio products, and for 3rd party distributed brands.
Specifying, engineering, configuring, calibrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting networked and stand-alone audio & video systems for trade customers.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Answering queries and resolving technical issues for trade customers and inside the Company, primarily via remote support and on-site in the field as required
- Providing pre-sales technical and configuration information, final system commissioning and troubleshooting support across all products and brands
- Calibrating and commissioning networked and stand-alone audio & video system installations in the field where required
- Supporting in-field product demonstrations to trade and end-user customers where required
- Supporting sales staff on visits to dealers and distributors where required
- Administering and coordinating all RMAs, ST’s, spare parts and product replacements for trade customers
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant technical education or recognised training qualification and previous relevant work experience is desirable, e.g. in networking or audio/video or software or system engineering
- Similar technical role within a fast-paced, customer-focused commercial business
- Practical field-based experience of installing AV or networked product systems is desirable
- Understanding of network audio (Dante/AES67) and experience of deploying AV-over-IP is desirable
- A demonstrable interest in and understanding of technology and audio/video products
- A breadth of understanding in the various technologies relevant to AV and IP networks
- Patient, methodical and thorough
- A calm demeanor and first-class interpersonal skills
- A confident public speaker
