Jessica PereiraHenley Audio has announced the new Signature Edelstein speakers from Magnat. These ultra-compact bookshelf speakers have been designed and engineered by the German company, offering an unrivalled audio experience from a small package, the retailer claims.
The Signature Edelstein is described as a great option for near-field listening in smaller rooms. However, they also have the dexterity to deliver deep lows and highs when being employed as the main speaker in a bigger listening space, says the maker. Signature Edelstein features include:

The Signature Edelstein are compact, two-way bookshelf speakers designed to deliver big sound from a small box, says Magnat.
Crystal clear highs
The Signature Edelstein makes use of a dual-compound fabric dome tweeter with an extra-wide surround, enhancing the dispersion of frequencies above 20kHz. The specially calculated ‘Spherical Wave-Guide’ integrated into the solid aluminium front panel offers optimal radiation patterns and, by fixing directly to the front panel, unwanted vibrations surrounding the tweeter are minimised.
Powerful and precise bass
The woofer’s ‘3L Sandwich Diaphragm’, composed of ceramic, magnesium and aluminium layers finished with an inverted dust cap delivers rigidity and internal damping. It is coupled with a Kapton voice coil for stable current delivery and housed within a non-magnetic aluminium die-cast basket for stability in use.
Premium crossover
The phase and amplitude-optimised crossover network in the Signature Edelstein has been designed to support audio excellence. The low-impedance bass-midrange section minimises electrical loss, while high-quality, oxygen-free copper internal cabling with substantial conductor cross-sections ensures strong signal transmission. Capped with a milled aluminium terminal block featuring gold-plated screw connectors to suit a wide variety of speaker cables, the speakers remain easy to accommodate.
Attention to detail
The Signature Edelstein makes use of a sturdy MDF cabinet, finished in satin black or satin white. The striking aluminium front panel is machined and burnished to fine tolerances to create a subtle yet hard-wearing façade. Mounted on a double base plate, featuring acrylic glass and solid aluminium layers, the base effectively removes vibration from the acoustic chamber. The cabinet is finished with a specially coated Airflex port for optimal bass performance.
