Lithe Audio has updated its range of ceiling speakers to provide an improved all-in-one Bluetooth ceiling speaker solution for music streaming. The new speakers now include aptX Low Latency, Bluetooth 5.0 and an enhanced exterior design on front and back.

The introduction of aptX Low Latency audio means that when the Lithe Audio speakers are linked to something being watched on a screen, they deliver sound in sync with the picture. The aptX Low Latency audio reduces delay and improves end-to-end speed of the audio transmission resulting in high quality synchronised sound.

The introduction of Bluetooth 5.0 gives the speakers increased range – from 10m to a 30m connection. Until now it hasn’t been easy to retrofit Bluetooth speakers in a ceiling without connecting to a separate amplifier or running cables through walls. Lithe Audio’s speakers are a fully integrated all-in-one solution which are installed simply by connecting power from the lighting circuit.

“We’re excited to be launching these new, improved versions of our already well-reviewed Bluetooth speakers ” says Amit Ravat, Lithe Audio’s managing director: “We’re always striving to improve the quality and performance of our products, and this is another great example of our commitment to innovate with the aim of enhancing the end-user experience”.

The Lithe Audio give seamless audio streaming from any audio service to a single, a pair or up to a series of 6 Lithe-linked speakers.

Designed by Lithe Audio’s team of specialist home electronic product designers, the frameless speakers are designed to ‘disappear’ into the ceiling, only protruding 3mm. The magnetic grille covers can be removed easily for cleaning or for replacement with a different coloured finish. The grilles can be painted to match any ceiling for a barely-there look.

It is £199.99 for a single Bluetooth ceiling speaker, or £279.99 for a pair. The bathroom-version IP44 Bluetooth speakers are £299.99 for a pair.
