Daniel J SaitJosh.ai, specialist in advanced artificial intelligence for the home, has announced an integration with the Savant smart home platform.
The integration, co-generated through a partnership with both companies, facilitates interactivity between Savant’s user-focused scene-creation into the Josh.ai platform.
The Josh.ai/Savant integration was designed to make the setup process intuitive for integrators. An authentication code is all that is needed to pair the systems, to be entered into the Josh.ai software.
Once authenticated, Josh.ai automatically reads in the Savant scenes, enabling users to access these features using customisable voice commands.
In addition to custom voice triggers, the integrator can also assign custom responses. For example, a ‘Good Morning’ scene could respond with, ‘Good Morning Sarah, have a great day!’
By adding Savant compatibility, Josh.ai says it continues to invest in the custom integration channel and its ecosystem partners.

Slight fly in the ointment here is that for UK dealers, Josh.ai is still not available in the UK due to different legal requirements for platforms like the company’s when compared to the US.
Josh.ai tells EI that it is working towards a solution and will up-date if and when progress is made.

Seen in demo, this voice automation system is impressive and arguably has an edge on some of the established players. It just feels a little more us, a little more intelligent and bespoke, so EI will be glad if the company can get around its current legal challenges in the UK.
