A Marketing Assistant is required to join a small team at PMC, the high-end audio manufacturing and distribution company in Biggleswade.

The team is currently comprised of the marketing manager, and creative designer.

The new assistant will contribute to achieving the company’s aims and objectives both in the UK and worldwide, while helping maintain client relationships.

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the brand values and reputation of the company are upheld whilst creating demand from B2B and end users. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of marketing computer software and experience of using social media platforms for business and a contact management system.

Key responsibilities

  • Interface & liaise with retailers & distributors with the aim to provide the most relevant marketing materials
  • Updating marketing budget
  • Maintaining marketing schedule & plan
  • Company website updates (via CMS)
  • Manage marketing show / demo stock
  • Be responsible for purchasing marketing materials such as show graphics and promotional items
  • Produce copy for approval for social media for brands, products, or services
  • Research social media advertising techniques & their effectiveness
  • With a brief; provide copy, edit- copy for creation of eblasts, website content, and other promotional materials
  • Create and distribute B2B & end user eblasts via on-line software
  • Be responsible for planning all aspects of promotional events presented by the company’s sales & marketing department both UK & overseas
  • Input and maintain CRM database
  • Get your hands dirty once in a while with hands-on event/show preparation and day to day post, dispatch prep etc
  • Help maintain client relationships through good customer service skills
  • As part of the marketing team, maintain the brand values and reputation of PMC and 3rd party brands PMC represent in the UK & worldwide

Qualifications and Experience

  • Postgraduate degree or equivalent Marketing qualification
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Extensive understanding of the MS office suite
  • Experience with the Abode Creative Suite would be a benefit but is not essential
  • A team player able to evidence highest levels of collaborative working
  • Prepared to travel in the UK and overseas to assist with events/shows
  • Knowledge of audio a benefit but not essential
  • Clean driving license preferable
