Daniel J SaitAs reported in the Los Angeles Times, one of the most famous power couples Jay Z and Beyonce have been on the hunt for a while to secure a high-tech home in one of the most expensive and competitive real-estate markets on earth.
Finally securing their purchase of an their $88 million purchase of a newly built, 30,000-square-foot mansion, the home bristles with the latest technology, but the journey has not all be plain sailing.
The couple’s first attempt to buy a home in LA was dashed by a newly minted tech billionaire, who gazumped them on a 23,000-square-foot home in Beverly Hills built by luxury builder Bruce Makowsky. The home had a massive living room with a 54-foot retractable wall of glass, an infinity pool overlooking all of LA, a car gallery and apparently most impressive of all, a state-of-the-art home cinema with a really cool door covered in lizard skin.
Despite seeing the home several times, Markus Persson, creator of Minecraft, outbid Jay Z and Beyonce after selling his company to Microsoft for $2.5 billion and paying $70 million for the home.
Don’t feel too sorry for them however, the couple have now secured an ultra-mod home built on Cuesta Way in Bel Air for a cool $88 million.
The LA Times reported that the couple took out a $52 million mortgage working out to monthly payments of just over than $250,000.
