Since launching in April, Sonos Radio with its original programming has quickly become a fan favourite, says the platform, giving listeners unrestricted access to up-and-coming artists and industry-leading musicians through interviews and hand-curated mixes that showcase the stories and passions behind the music.
Building on its past programming from Phoebe Bridgers, David Byrne, Khruangbin and more, Sonos Radio has now announced its new line-up of upcoming artist collaborations on Sonos Sound System, including Future Islands, A$AP Ferg, Perfume Genius, Adia Victoria and IDLES. Each Wednesday, a new artist will host a radio hour show to share commentary about the influences that have shaped their work before taking listeners through a hand-selected mixtape of tracks they’ve been listening to.
First up listeners got a chance to enjoy an hour with British singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka (Wednesday, September 23) available in the Sonos app. Plus, if you missed the new Fontaines D.C. radio hour last week, you can catch the full archive of radio hours 24 hours after premiering through the Sonos Sound System Archive at mixcloud.com/sonos and in the Mixcloud app.
