Stewart Filmscreen is showcasing the abilities of the GrayHawk RS G4 Screen Material at ISE, engineered and refined to extract every iota of performance from high-output 4K Ultra HD and HD projectors.
Stewart Filmscreen says it has refined GrayHawk RS G4 from the previous THX-certified G3 iteration to perform even better with today’s ultra-bright projectors.
“We examined GrayHawk RS from a scientific standpoint and have enhanced it to perform impeccably with even the most luminous projectors,” says Grant Stewart, president and CEO of Stewart Filmscreen. “GrayHawk RS G4 is the new reference (gray material) for today’s demanding projectors, amplifying all their attributes while minimising flaws. The proof is in the picture and GrayHawk’s performance doesn’t lie.”
Stewart Filmscreen says the new screen offers improvements to uniformity, black levels and off-axis viewing, as well as improved optical coating for uniform brightness across the screen.
Better Black Levels are achieved via neutral-density gray base, combining with ultra-fine optical coating and increased off-axis viewing is promoted via a 0.92 gain and 77° half gain, improving on the G3 version by 13°.
Stewart Filmscreen adds that the material’s completely opaque qualities also cuts down on image artifacts.
GrayHawk RS G4 is available in Microperf X2 for acoustically transparent performance and available models include Stewart’s fixed, retractable, and variable masking screens.
