Steinway Lyngdorf has announced a major software update for all Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway & Sons multichannel home cinema processors, introducing Qobuz Connect alongside Pure Audio high-resolution multichannel streaming.
The company describes the update as part of its longstanding approach to enhancing existing products with new features while maintaining a focus on delivering the best possible sound quality.
The brand has already integrated a wide range of streaming services across its processors, including Tidal Connect with Dolby Atmos Music, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Roon Ready. Its Tidal Connect integration enables access to thousands of Dolby Atmos Music albums recorded or remixed in certified Dolby Atmos studios, delivering what the company says is a fully immersive listening experience.
The latest update adds Qobuz Connect, a platform chosen by many listeners for its extensive catalogue of high-resolution music, including strong Jazz and Classical selections. Qobuz provides both streaming and download options. With this addition, Steinway Lyngdorf says its processors are now an ideal choice for customers who want reference-grade performance for both movies and music.
A new high-resolution multichannel standard also arrives with Pure Audio Streaming. According to the company, Pure Audio delivers the world’s first lossless, uncompressed and uncompromised immersive audio streaming format. Steinway Lyngdorf is the first manufacturer to integrate Pure Audio Streaming directly via AC Connect, allowing its processors to play high-resolution immersive audio controlled through the Pure Audio app. Users simply select a song, playlist or album within the app to stream directly to the processor.

The update introduces automatic lip-sync to the Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P100 2.1 models. Auto Lipsync corrects timing errors between audio and video using feedback from the TV, projector or video processor over HDMI eARC. The feature is already present in the MP-60 2.1 and P300 2.1 processors and is now available across all HDMI 2.1 models.
The software update is available now and provided free of charge for all compatible Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway & Sons processors.
