Saville Audio Visual is hoping to assist internal and external colleagues by introducing a new ‘Learning Management System’, which allows people to input, review and access information with particular regard to health and safety, risk assessment and compliance.
The system was designed by global online workforce data management specialists e3learning.
It provides a source for online learning courses and helps identify opportunities for external trailing.
Saville believes that it is the first UK AV business to invest in an LMS system, following other global brands into the arena.
Saville HSEQ and compliance manager, Shaun Hodgson says: “Saville Audio Visual is a growing business; group turnover last year reached in excess of £40million.
This positive growth is reflective of the amount of hard work we all put into every working day.
“Our investment in a Learning Management System will ensure that the Company continues to fulfil its commitment as a learning organisation, as well as meeting our legal obligations with regard to health and safety.
“The system will help us to ensure that all colleagues have received training to complete their role safely.”
Company personnel are required to update and complete their information workflow, supported via a helpline and a special help and support section.
Examples of information held within the system include emergency contacts, qualifications and training completed.
The LMS also incorporates ‘SitePass’, a contractor management system designed for efficient workforce management, to reduce workplace risk and improve site security.
SitePass provides information relating to the company’s contractors, their employees and sub-contractors all in one location.
Speaking about the requirements of major tender installations, Shaun adds: “SitePass allows the company to demonstrate compliance with work health and safety and risk management procedures.
“Ensuring transparency across all areas of the business will give administrators and organisations the peace of mind they need.”
