Promax’s latest transmodulation solution that receives DVB-S2 satellite channels and converts them to DVB-T or DVB-T2 is being lauded as ideal for installers working in compact environments.

The CompactMax has been developed after careful research by Promax with relevant players in the deployment of digital television in rural areas with poor or no signal coverage.

Focusing on the northern latitudes of Scandinavia, the company realised that some places such as the northern fjords found it difficult to receive any form of TV reception – even those distributed by satellites.

Despite the difficulty in receiving a satellite signal, Promax realises that for many in the region it’s their only way of getting TV.

That is one of the reasons behind the development of the CompactMax, which promises to convert the digital satellite television to broadcast-quality digital terrestrial television with a high output power.

CompactMax has been specifically designed to be installed in distant areas and can be remotely operated.

Promax says that it’s a ‘simple and more cost-effective solution than other systems available in the professional market’.
