Prove your humanity

Meridian Audio has introduced a free design and specification service designed to save installers time and money when they’re working on whole home, superyacht or cinema room projects.

As part of the service Meridian will be able to detail room layout, speaker positions (for two channel and home cinema systems) and wiring diagrams. In addition, it will show how Meridian components can interface with existing audio and video distribution systems, as well as third party control systems.

“Meridian’s design and specification service is all about adding value for our customers,” says Barry Sheldrick, director of sales at Meridian. “It will help installers achieve the exceptional performance expected from a Meridian system.

“The design and specification service will also make it easier and quicker for dealers to select and specify the best products for those applications, freeing up valuable time so they can concentrate on other aspects of an installation.”

Some installers have already benefited from Meridian’s free design and specification service, including Vincent Murphy of London-based integrator, TechniQuest. He had this to say:

“We have used the Meridian Design and Specification Service for a couple of our recent projects, and I have been extremely impressed with the speed of preparation, accuracy and presentation quality of the design proposals produced for us.

“In the preparation of the project design proposal, we discussed the brief with Meridian, including any possible alternatives to the system we originally had in mind.

“On several occasions that feedback alone has proved invaluable to the specification of the system that we eventually proposed to our client. It’s altogether a very good service and a great additional string to Meridian’s bow.”

Joakim Sands of Sweden-based distributor Ljudtema, who recently used the service on a large distributed audio project he was involved in, adds: “We worked in a really effective collaboration with Meridian to produce a document that really helped the client to understand certain aspects of the design of the system.

“Meridian even included extra information about each of the products, which gave the client a real insight into why those products were chosen and what they would bring to the audio experience. It was a really useful service, and we will definitely be using it again.”

To begin the proposal process, installers need to send a plan of the room, house or room dimensions to design@meridian.co.uk. Meridian will then provide co-branded drawings of the proposed system layout and associated wiring diagrams as PDF files within 48 hours.
