Jordan O'BrienThe Liberty Science Centre has recently completed a functionality upgrade to the video wall in the main entrance area, known as the PSEG Court, with Gefen providing the tools for the upgrade.
Content is now delivered to the video wall’s stacked displays using Gefen’s HDMI over Fibre Extender with one strand of multi-mode fibre optic cable.
A Gefen Multi-view Seamless Switcher is utilised for live event switching and a 4×4 HDMI Matrix facilitates the use of additional source devices.
Various cables and converters were also used to ensure compatibility between various Macs and PCs.
“Gefen provided the tools we needed to greatly enhance the video experience in one of our most high-traffic areas,” says Joe Colombo, LSC’s associate director of technology services for theatre services.
“The system was installed by our in-house team and has been working well with multiple computer sources and consumer devices.”
