Just Add Power 2G+4+ Video Tiler Now Shipping

Just Add Power has officially begun shipping its 2G+4+ video tiler with ImagePlay, allowing installers to give their clients the ability to have multiple content sources up at any one time on any display in the house.

The 1U rackmountable 2G+4+ device with ImagePlay was shown off earlier this year at the CEDIA Expo in Dallas.

Installers wanting to take four or more HDMI sources and display them on a single screen or multiple screen in Full HD 1080p, in an array of viewing modes, may want to consider this latest product from Just Add Power.

Within the range of viewing modes is the ability to display a single source device full screen, four sources in quad view or four sources arranged as one large tile with three smaller tiles positioned horizontally or vertically along the bottom or side.

Just Add Power is targeting the 2G+4+ video tiler at installers working on projects that include ‘man caves, home cinemas, games room and master bedrooms’, but it admits it can be used anywhere where multiple content sources need to be displayed on a single display.

Installers can integrate the Just Add Power 2G+4+ video tiler alongside an HDMI over IP matrix, comprised of the company’s second generation (2G/2G+2G+AVPro) of IP-based transmitters and receivers plus a layer 3 gigabit managed switch.

If more than four content sources need to be displayed on any one display, then installers can simply stack multiple 2G+4+ video tilers together. Each time one is stacked it adds an extra three source devices as tiles.

An HDMI output on the 1U rackmount chassis can be used for distribution to a local display or can be used to feed the 2G+4+ into a network of Just Add Power 3G Ultra HD over IP products, which would make it possible to display the 2G+4+ in 2160p on 4K / HDMI 2.0 screens if needed.

As well as being accessible on any number of single screens, the 2G+4+ tiler can be shown on Just Add Power video walls (from 2×2 to 16×6 in size). This use-case is designed for commercial applications however, such as casinos or sports bars.

The 2G+4+ tiler is available and shipping now from Just Add Power distributors and works with existing 2G+/2G+/2G+AVPro products and can be bridged with the new 3G Ultra HD over IP products with HDCP 2.2 support (now also shipping) in order to be displayed in 2160p on 4K / HDCP 2.2 screens.
