Denon is continuing to expand its HEOS line-up, this time in the form of the new HEOS Drive, a networked multi-room amplifier.
In its efforts to dominate the wireless multi-room audio system market, the HEOS drive is a four-zone, eight-channel multi-room amplifier that covers all HEOS zones with a single 2U tall, rack mountable chassis.
With similar functionality to both the HEOS Amp and HEOS Link, HEOS Drive gives coverage of all four HEOS zones in a single 2U (3.5in-tall) chassis.
Features include class-D amplification, rack mount ears, active cooling and wired Ethernet input and pass-through.
The compact size should also benefit installers.
“HEOS Drive was specially created by the custom installer for the custom installer,” says Brendon Stead, Denon’s vice president of product development.
“The market has been asking for a single chassis, multi-zone, streaming amplifier for years. This is it!”
The newest addition to the Denon HEOS Series, HEOS Drive, is expected to be available this month for £1,999.
