Jordan O'BrienWith more and more customers embracing 4K , Control4 is hoping to help those people with a new 4K Ultra HD content distribution solution designed for smart homes across the world.
The manufacturer has announced a new line of HDCP 2.2-compliant 4K UHD Matrix Switches that provide the ability to distribute 4K content, including copy-protected content, to every room in the Control4 Smart Home without the need for additional hardware or software.

“Our recent acquisition of Leaf, the Australia-based provider of audio/video distribution products, helped us get to market faster with a comprehensive media distribution solution that is truly 4K-ready today.”
Along with HDCP 2.2 compliance, Control4’s latest Matrix Switches also have a variety of upgrades from previous generation models.
There are numerous sizes available within the range from 10×10, 8×8 and 6×6, with all of the new Matrix Switches being powered via a single cable, eliminating the need for a separate power supply.
All of the new Matrix Switches can deliver 4K Ultra HD video content and audio to up to 10 TVs in the house, from 10 unique sources.
The new Matrix Switches are available for order from today.
