Sanus has been the go-to mounting solution for Sonos customers. It already offers solutions for the Sonos One, Play:1, Play:3, Playbase and Playbar, but customers who wanted to mount a Play:5 were sadly left without any options. Thankfully Sanus is correcting that omission just in time for Christmas 2017, with a new speaker stand designed specifically for the Sonos Play:5.
Dubbed the WSS51, Sanus’ new speaker mount has been designed to provide the optimum audio performance for the Play:5. That’s because it elevates the speaker to maximise the bass response, while the speaker is angled for better sound dispersion.
Standing 800mm tall, the two-tone finished WSS51, available in Matt Midnight Black or White with anodised aluminium, closely matches the PLAY:5. Its smooth, curved, heavy base and low centre of gravity, plus full structural support for the speaker, provide a stable and safe solution that is UL safety tested to four times the stated specifications and safe to at least 10° of tip-over in any direction.
Sanus says that the Sonos Play:5 can be fixed to the WSS51 within 15 minutes using only a screwdriver, while integrated cable management should make the set-up clean and tidy. Carpet spikes and rubber feet also ensure stability on any surface.
The WSS51-B2 (black) and WSS51-W2 (white) are supplied with 10 years’ warranty and is available now at a RRP of £89.99 per single stand.
