Lode Audio is expanding its range of music servers – with the latest product, the LA1, offering a single-zone music server that combines Hi-Fi quality performance with smart home control.
The Lode Audio LA1 joins the LA4 as part of the company’s music server offering, but until the LA4 – this LA1 is specifically designed for smaller installations, offering one zone as opposed to four.
With the single-zone capability comes a smaller package, with the LA1 being 1U tall and 9½in wide; two units can fit side-by-side in a 19in rack. The LA1 features high-end DACs which are capable of high-resolution audio playback, compatibility with a number of streaming music services and full integration into automation control platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Control4 and RTI.
As with other Lode Audio products, the LA1 utilises the company’s patented LodeNet platform. What that means is that installers can link together multiple music servers to create up to 64 zones in a single installation – ideal for larger installs in the commercial and hospitality sectors. This is all achieved without the issues of interference, latency and outages experienced by many wireless-based audio systems, says Lode Audio.
The Lode Audio LA1 is available from the end of October with pre-orders being taken now.
