At the EI Live! Show, taking place September 18-19 2024 at the Farnborough Exhibition Centre, Future Automation is introducing new products: The Easel – a brand-new architectural display mount – and the UniChannel modular in-ceiling shade concealment system.
The Easel is a brand-new architectural display mount from Future Automation inspired by the design of an artist’s easel.
This solution provides interior designers and architects with an attractive display mount that doesn’t rely on a wall or cabinetry to incorporate into a room.
The Easel looks great from any angle thanks to its thoughtfully engineered back panel and hidden magnetic cable management track that runs down the central leg of the stand.
Light washed oak or walnut solid wood finishes bring unique patterns and grain structure to each display stand, creating an elegant sculptural piece that is suited to luxury residential and commercial spaces.
Mounting the display to the Easel has been made simple thanks to the inclusion of the Future Automation FB49 slim line bracket, which is just 30.3mm deep and compatible with 65” VESA 200×200 to 600×600 displays.
For an enhanced audio experience, the Easel can be paired with Future Automation’s Universal Speaker Mount (USM), allowing one to attach a soundbar directly below the display.
This setup not only improves sound quality compared to the display’s built-in speakers but also ensures that the audio experience is as impressive as the visual appeal, creating a fully immersive entertainment solution.
The Easel is not just a piece of furniture; it’s a statement of style and functionality that brings technology into a space through a purposeful and sophisticated architectural art piece.
Its design allows for flexible placement, making it ideal for open-plan living areas, offices and even boutique hotels where aesthetics and functionality are paramount. The stand can be seamlessly integrated into various design schemes.
Whether it’s a modern minimalist apartment or a classic, luxurious home, The Easel’s timeless design complements any interior. Its ability to stand independently without the need for wall mounting opens up new possibilities for room layouts and design creativity.
Meanwhile, the UniChannel (UCH) system combines a wooden carcass with extruded aluminium side trim profile instead of the traditional all-aluminium construction to create a more flexible, installation friendly and cost-effective pocket shading system.
UniChannel is available in three sizes for single, dual stacked, or dual side-by-side shade installations. This gives users the option to combine multiple shade fabrics (such as sheer and dimout) inside a single pocket.
All models feature plaster-over flanges to make it simple to create a neat pocket that blends seamlessly into a ceiling.
The innovative internal aluminium shade mount enables both toolless positioning of Future Automation roller shades, using their ‘Twist-In’ shade bracket mounting system, and universal compatibility with shades from alternative manufacturers.
The hook-on aluminium fascia trim panel can be mounted in two positions so you can either leave the aluminium fascia exposed or attach plasterboard directly to the trim panel.
Attaching plasterboard to the trim panel reduces the size of the pocket opening while also creating a seamless transition between the Unichannel system and the surrounding ceiling.
