ADI has announced the international rollout of Control4 X4 and the optional Control4 Connect service across the US, Canada, EMEA, APAC and LATAM, bringing a redesigned user experience and a new service framework to both new and existing Control4 systems.
The launch marks a major evolution of the Control4 platform, combining a refreshed interface with a secure, future-ready architecture designed to enhance performance, simplify system management and support long-term growth for both residential and commercial installations.
Control4 X4 introduces a modern visual design with cleaner navigation, a redesigned home screen and faster access to frequently used controls. The update has been developed to meet growing customer expectations for intuitive, polished interfaces comparable with those found across today’s consumer technology products.
New customer-facing features, including Routines and Widgets, allow users to make simple day-to-day adjustments without requiring installer intervention, helping reduce service calls while allowing integrators to focus on more advanced programming and system design.
Control4 Connect provides an optional service layer that keeps systems secure, updated and compatible with an expanding range of connected devices and services. It also enables features including remote access, system insights, Intercom Anywhere and voice control via Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.
“For the EMEA market, this announcement represents a significant step forward for both our partners and their customers,” says Eric Fritz, Senior Director of Product Management at ADI. “Across the region, we’re seeing rising expectations around design, usability and long-term system value, and Control4 X4 and Control4 Connect directly address those demands. Together, they give our partners a more competitive platform—one that elevates the customer experience, reduces friction after installation and creates a stronger foundation for secure, future-ready smart living and commercial projects.”
Customers looking for additional functionality can also subscribe to the premium tier of Control4 Connect, adding curated Routines, expanded Apple integration including Apple Music, AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, plus ongoing feature enhancements delivered directly to the system. The subscription model is also designed to create new recurring revenue opportunities for integration partners.
The two launches are intended to work together, combining a contemporary interface with an evolving platform architecture capable of supporting future integrations and ongoing software improvements. ADI says this approach simplifies ongoing maintenance, reduces system complexity and helps ensure installations remain current over the long term.
Partners worldwide have already been preparing for the launch through an Early Access programme, product evaluations and dedicated training designed to support demonstrations and smooth deployments.
“X4 and Connect introduce a new era for the Control4 platform,” concludes Fritz. “X4 modernises the user interface in a way customers immediately appreciate, while Connect ensures every system stays secure, current and ready for what comes next. Together they deliver a powerful combination of elevated experience and long-term value for partners and end users alike.”
