Prove your humanity

At Integrated Systems Europe (Stand 3N500, Fira Barcelona, 31 January – 3 February), QMotion UK will be showcasing its latest hardware and control solutions to support integrators in growing their automated blind businesses.

New to the show will be QMotion’s Motorised Drapery Rods, which can be quickly and easily integrated with third-party control platforms such as Control4 and Crestron for quick and intuitive operation. This battery operated solution is simple, ‘whisper quiet’ and elegant, with the motors hidden away within the rod itself.

Ease of integration is a key attraction of the QMotion range. The recently launched Crestron Home driver from Ultamation can be easily configured within minutes to give users control of blinds, curtains and groups through their mobile and touch panel controls on the Crestron Home system. Visitors can also learn how QMotion QiS Cat 6 wired Roller systems can now be integrated into KNX via RS485 and see how QMotion’s partnership with Rako provides a seamless experience when specifying and installing lighting and wireless blind control on a project. Loxone have also introduced a wireless driver for ZigBee controlled QMotion products.

Other highlights at ISE 2023 include QMotion’s hybrid-powered Wireless Roller Blind Systems. Unlike any other wire free system on the market, these automated treatments provide an industry-leading battery life (according to the maker), from one to four years, and are available in sizes up to 3800mm wide by a 4500mm drop. Meanwhile, QBasic+ demonstrates how with a small modification, integrators can create a fully automated blind without the need, or additional cost, of changing fabric or fixing brackets. They can simply begin by fitting manual blinds, then return when budget allows to upgrade and install QMotion battery powered motors into the existing QBasic+ system.

Integrators can also get hands-on with the Legrand Netatmo app. Capable of connecting a range of intelligent Legrand Arteor sockets and switches, the app enables the homeowner to control their shading, heating and security technology within the home from their phone or iPad.

Visitors can see how QMotion blinds are ultra energy efficient thanks to the company’s patented spring-counterbalancing system which keeps battery power consumption to an absolute minimum and delivers near silent operation in every application. Meanwhile, the minimal side light gaps of just 13mm ensure an attractive installation. The patented, manual override command also allows the customer to operate the blinds by hand, without damaging the automated mechanism. Cat6 wired motors provide control and power, and are supplied with a 20-year limited lifetime warranty, as standard.

For a clean, contemporary interior finish, QMotion will also show its new blind concealment solution. High quality extruded aluminium boxes will be available to conceal the automated QMotion blind, to ensure only the fabric is visible when the blind is fully lowered. With 15 finishes to choose from, QMotion’s new Designer Series of Decorative Brackets and Endcaps can help match the design aesthetic of an installation and will be on display at ISE 2023.
