DEFINING SOUND THROUGH PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
Devialet has leveraged extensive research and development to introduce several proprietary technologies. These innovations fundamentally change the approach to sound reproduction, offering specific advantages relevant to Custom Install deployments:
ADH (Analog Digital Hybrid) Amplification: This technology resolves a long-standing compromise in audio amplification. ADH successfully merges the high-fidelity sound quality traditionally associated with inefficient analog (Class A) amplification with the power density and thermal efficiency of digital (Class D) amplification. For integrators, this translates into systems capable of delivering superior audio clarity and performance while maintaining optimal heat management, a critical factor for enclosed or continuously operating installations.
SAM® (Speaker Active Matching): Complementing ADH, SAM is an algorithm engineered to deliver absolute fidelity while continuously protecting the loudspeakers guaranteeing system longevity and consistent sound quality in complex, multi-unit installations.
HBI (Heart Bass Implosion): HBI is a suite of multiphysics innovations that powers the emission of ultra-low frequencies in a compact form factor—reaching depths of 14 Hz —eliminating the need for large external subwoofers, simplifying architectural integration, and preserving aesthetic goals. The result: infra-bass you don’t just hear but feel inside.
DEVIALET PHANTOM ULTIMATE: ENGINEERED FOR EXCELLENCE
Devialet Phantom Ultimate, the new generation of the iconic Devialet Phantom speaker, introduced last September, is the definitive proof of Devialet savoir-faire. On the acoustic front, performance has been significantly improved through an extended high-frequency response, gaining 4 kHz and 12 kHz respectively for the 98 dB and 108 dB models. This level of output is directly facilitated by ADH® New Gen and HBI®, while SAM® guarantees perfect power control and the reproduction of sound waves with exceptional accuracy
From a technological standpoint, Devialet Phantom Ultimate integrates a new NXP IMX8 Nano processor, which provides increased power and advanced audio processing, operating on the redesigned Devialet DOS 3 software architecture. Architecturally, the device retains its iconic and timeless oblong shape but features a refined design, including a subtly reworked tweeter grille and new finishes such as Light Pearl and Deep Forest, in addition to the exclusive Opéra de Paris edition adorned with 22-carat gold leaf.
Regarding the user experience, the entire process has been redesigned around the DOS 3 software and an overhauled Devialet app, allowing access to unprecedented listening customization through fine-tuned audio modes and a new 6-band equalizer. Connectivity is seamless, integrating an extended range of streaming protocols including Airplay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready, and Audirvana.
