Prove your humanity

Hisense has introduced a new Control4 driver for its VIDAA TVs, developed in partnership with Chowmainsoft. The move enables seamless integration between Hisense displays and Control4-powered smart homes.

Designed for professional installation, the driver allows Control4 users to manage a wide range of TV functions via IP, including power, volume, input switching, channel selection and app launching from services such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Disney Plus. Dynamic feedback ensures real-time synchronisation between the Control4 interface and the actual TV status.

The driver is compatible with a broad range of Hisense TVs running the VIDAA operating system, simplifying integration for installers and offering homeowners more intuitive, centralised entertainment control.

Robert Andrews, Head of Strategy & GTM TV at Hisense UK, says, “The release of the VIDAA Control4 driver marks an exciting new chapter in the evolution of our TV proposition. By working with Chowmainsoft, we’re upgrading smart home integration and making Hisense TVs even more accessible and attractive to the custom install market, providing homeowners with a premium, unified entertainment experience. As the Global No.1 in 100”+ TVs and with a range of exciting new super large screens featuring groundbreaking technologies, including RGB Mini LED, this latest development positions Hisense as the logical choice for all large screen projects of the future.”

Alan Chow, Managing Director at Chowmainsoft, adds, “As Hisense continues its global expansion, we’ve seen growing demand from integrators for seamless TV integration. We’re excited to have partnered with Hisense to deliver a reliable Control4 driver that meets the needs of both professionals and end users. This launch is just the beginning—we’re actively working with Hisense on additional integrations across the other major automation platforms we support to deliver a truly connected smart home experience.”

When Hisense first launched in the UK, they raised a few eyebrows when the company said it would be targeting the high-end and install market. With this move, some recent launches and what we hear is planned for EI Live! on the AWE Stand, it would appear the company is making good on that promise.
