Rik Willemse, Head of Professional Displays & Solutions Europe at Sony reveals the brand’s plans for ISE 2025.
The showcase will include the newly launched 4K HDR BRAVIA Projector 8 (VPL-XW6100) and 9 (VPL-XW8100) designed to provided the ultimate cinematic experience in the home.
ISE is such a prolific event in the AV industry, and we’re once again delighted to be attending and bringing our fully sustainable stand to Barcelona. We’re looking forward to showcasing the next level of updates in our partnerships, products, technology and solutions that will deliver huge benefits for companies across the retail, education, corporate and content production sectors. There’s no better place to catch up with recent advancements and developments in AV than this industry-defining event.
Visitors will be able to see the evolution of how Sony is creating connected experiences for its customers and beyond, with solutions on show including our BRAVIA 4K Professional Display range, featuring Deep Black Non-Glare coating, that delivers exceptional contrast and vibrant colours. Alongside the BRAVIA range we’ll also be announcing a new development in this area, aimed at supporting installers with project deliveries and installations, reducing time and costs.
We’re expecting to see a lot of brands showcasing their developments in the area of sustainability at the show, where for the past two years, the Sony stand has been full sustainable, and will be again for 2025. We’ve been focusing a lot on our long-term vision and purpose, particularly around our ESG initiatives, and are looking forward to showcasing our ‘Making it, Moving it, Using it and Re-using it’ philosophy which sits under our wider Sony Road to Zero plan. We will have a dedicated sustainability area on the stand, showcasing our fantastic advances in this area.
AI development
Another trend I expect to see a whole lot of development in is AI. This seems to be a topic of high interest at the moment, and something we’re taking very seriously at Sony with our own technological developments in this area – Our SRG-A40 and A12 PTZ Auto-Framing cameras are built with AI video analytics that automatically detect and track the position of a presenter, utilising the PTZ mechanism to ensure the presenter is always framed naturally. This technology is also found in our BRC-AM7 PTZ camera which enables simplified high-quality video production for broadcast, live event and sports productions. Both cameras will be showcased at ISE, with live demonstrations of the SRG-A40 and BRC-AM7. AI is having a significant impact on the world of AV, particularly for digital signage and smart home technology, and in the future, this will only be truer. From content creation to predictive maintenance, at all stages of AV, AI is having a profound benefit at the rate at which a digital signage solution can be deployed and consistently applied. We expect to see AI being used for motion tracking, personalised adverts and information, screen downtime and much more.
Prominent Production
For the past few years we have showcased our Virtual Production solution, partnered with our impressive Crystal LED VERONA Display, but for the first time at ISE, experts from Sony’s Content Production and Live Production teams will showcase its live events, streaming & content creation solutions for the Corporate and Education markets as well as its SDK solutions. We’re seeing more and more of a blend between the AV and Broadcast worlds at ISE, so the introduction of our Sony production teams will only enhance the experience for visitors.
There’s no better place than ISE to learn about how AV technology can be applied to real life projects, which is why we always promote the amazing work our customers and partners do with the help of our products and solutions. Visitors to the Sony booth will be able to see first-hand the benefits our customers and partners are seeing using our advanced components such as the powerful System on Chip (SoC). We have been working hard on building our AV Alliance and technology partnership network, that now sees over 60 partners offering compatible software and hardware solutions that deliver enhanced value, compatibility, and creative freedom to our lineup of BRAVIA 4K Professional Displays. We can’t wait to see you at the show, visit our booth in Hall 3, booth 3E300.
